Subject: Connecting to Disaster Recovery Server
Feedback Type: Problem
Product Area: Domino Server
Technical Area: Administration

Release: 8.5.1
Reproducible: -Reproducibility-

Hi,
I am just investigating in domino environment how Disaster setup will work.

Assume in a company there are Domino Mail Servers configured in cluster mode for high availability and its working smoothly.

Later they are planning to configure a Disaster setup in another location for their mail servers for high availiablity in any cases.

Plan 1 - They added one more server in different location in cluster mode and educate users to select the server if both ther servers not available -- Due to this solution network traffic between live server and disaster server will very high because of cluster replication.

Plan 2 - They copied one existing server(with diff Ip address) in Disaster location and enabled SAN replication between these servers.
-- how user will switch to the disaster server.

Please help me which is the correct solution and what else i need to take care and difficulties of these plan.

or any new solution to fullfill this requirement

Regards
Dinesh Kumar
